Mr. Crangle
received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Canisius College in 1955
and a Juris Doctor Degree from the State University of New York
at Buffalo School of Law in 1959.
Mr. Crangle
has been an integral part of the local, state and national
political landscape for over four decades. Mr. Crangle
was the Erie County Democratic Party Chair from 1965 to 1988 and
the New York State Democratic Party Chair from 1971 to 1974.
He served as a delegate to Democratic National Conventions
from 1968 to 1992 and was a member of the Executive Committee of
the Democratic National Committee from 1972 to 1988. He
has served as Chief of Staff and/or Special Counsel to four New
York State Assembly Speakers; Chairman of the Erie County Water
Authority; Special Counsel to an international commission and as
counsel to a Native American Indian Nation.
In addition
to his work with the firm, Mr. Crangle currently serves as an
on-air political commentator for local CBS affiliate, WIVB-TV.
Mr. Crangle also was a Director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of
New York from 2000 to 2003; Chair, Board of Trustees of the
Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo from 1993 to 2003; and
Chair, Board of Trustees of Timon-St. Jude High School. He
was a Visiting Political Science Professor at Buffalo State
College from 1999 to 2005. Mr. Crangle has received Distinguished Alumni
Awards from the John Timon Society, Canisius College and the
State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law.
